Jessie Terms of Use
Effective 30 September 2026
Jessie is a trade name of American Product Co. LLC, a California limited liability company ("we"). We will tell you before these terms change in a way that matters.
By creating an account, or by continuing to use Jessie, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.
1. What Jessie is
Jessie makes spoken-word fiction to order. You describe the kind of story you want, Jessie asks a few questions, writes it, and narrates it aloud.
Stories, narration and cover pictures are generated by artificial intelligence. They are not written or performed by people, and they are not reviewed by a person before you hear them unless something in them requires it.
2. Who may use it
You must be 13 or older to have a Jessie account. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission.
Kid Mode is a setting on an adult's account that limits what will play. It is not an account for a child, and Jessie does not create accounts for children.
We may end your access at any time, and you may stop using Jessie at any time. Stopping, and deleting your account, do not by themselves cancel a subscription. See section 9.
3. Your account
You sign in with Apple, with a one-time code emailed to you, or with a password if your account has one.
Keep your sign-in to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
You may delete your account from Settings. That removes your stories, your recordings, your profile and your preferences. It cannot be undone. It does not cancel an Apple subscription.
4. What you ask for
You choose what a story is about. Do not ask Jessie for:
- Anything sexual involving anyone under 18, in any form, real or fictional.
- Anything intended to harass, threaten or defame a real person.
- Instructions for causing serious harm.
- Stories that copy someone else's protected work, or that use a real, identifiable person in a way they have not agreed to.
Jessie checks requests before writing and checks stories after writing, and will decline or change a request that reaches past what it will make. Its standards are its own and do not depend on what any technology supplier permits.
Jessie is for general audiences, at roughly a PG-13 ceiling. There is no adult mode.
5. Stories you make
Between us, you own what you asked for and we do not claim your requests. We make no claim about whether AI-generated text, audio and pictures can be owned at all: in several countries, work generated without human authorship may not attract copyright. That is a matter of law, not of this agreement, and we cannot promise you rights the law may not grant.
We need permission to store your stories, narrate them, draw their covers, and play them back to you. If you add a story to the library or share it, that permission extends to showing it to the people who can then hear it.
If you upload a recording, you confirm you have the rights to it and to share it on the terms you accept in the app. We store the recording and may transcribe it in order to check it.
6. The library and sharing
When you start a story, you choose whether to add it to Jessie's shared library. That choice starts switched on; you can switch it off then, or take the story out of the library at any time.
If a story is in the library:
- Other listeners may hear it, rate it and mark it as a favorite.
- It may appear in recommendations.
- Taking it out removes it from the library going forward; it does not reach anyone who already heard it.
You may share a link to a story in the library. Anyone with the link can hear that story. A link can also be used once to invite one person to Jessie. Taking the story out of the library stops every link to it.
You may turn on a public profile (a handle, a display name, a short bio) and let people follow it. Anonymous stories stay off that profile. You can turn the profile off.
7. No objectionable content
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users.
Do not post, request, upload, or share anything that is hateful, harassing, sexually exploitative, or otherwise unlawful, and do not use Jessie to abuse another person. That includes stories, recordings, a profile name, a handle, and a bio.
If you do, we will remove the content and we may end your account. A serious report takes a story out of the library at once. We review reports and act on them.
8. Reporting and blocking
If a story troubles you, report it. A person reads every report.
You can also stop seeing a creator's stories. That is private: they are not told, and nothing about their account changes. It only affects what you see. You can undo it in Settings.
9. Subscriptions
Jessie has two auto-renewing monthly subscriptions, sold by Apple in the app:
- Jessie Library, $9.99 a month in the United States. Listening to the shared library.
- Jessie Create, $14.99 a month in the United States. Everything in Library, plus making your own stories.
Each offers a 7-day free trial to someone Apple still considers eligible. The price, the trial, and the length shown in the app before you confirm are the ones that apply to you. Prices can differ by country. The price in the app is the price you are charged.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically each month unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the trial or the current month. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel in your Apple account settings. Restore purchases is in the app, on the subscription screen and in Settings.
There is also a daily limit on how many stories can be made. The app tells you when you have reached it.
Deleting your Jessie account does not cancel the subscription. Cancel with Apple or the subscription keeps renewing.
10. What we do not promise
Jessie is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available, that a story will be good, or that it will be what you pictured.
AI writes these stories. It gets things wrong. A story may contain mistakes about the real world, and nothing in one should be treated as advice of any kind.
To the extent the law allows, American Product Co. LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of Jessie. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Changes
We will tell you before these terms change in a way that matters, and you can stop using Jessie if you disagree. If you keep using Jessie after a change, the new terms apply.
12. Contact and governing law
